1991 Chrysler TC by MASERATI - Live on Bring A Trailer

Very Rare (one of only 1,636 built in 1991) & Extremely nice very low mile (42,765) TC by Maserati was purchased new from Town & Country Chrysler Plymouth in Milwaukie Oregon and remained in the Portland Metro area with original family until my purchase in February 2020. This beautiful EXOTIC RED TC by MASERATI is completely stock and original.

I remember seeing this car around some of the businesses the family owned, always clean and shiny. Soft top was not used much and shows little to no wear. Owner really liked the car and it shows incredible pride of ownership. Runs and drives extremely will with no quirks, rattles etc.

The OHC Multi-port Fuel Injected V6 has plenty of power and is very smooth. All power options work as expected, A/C Blows cold.

In talking with the Family the car was maintained to factory specs but they do not have any records. Oil and filter, general inspection and service was done in preparation for sale

Very minor rock chips and scratches, much less than you would expect of a car this age. Very light ware on driver’s seat bolsters. No rust or corrosion other than very light corrosion on some susceptible engine parts like Alternator, fins and script on top of fuel injection cover.

I would not hesitate to drive this car across the US

Chrysler's TC by Maserati is a jointly developed car by Chrysler and Maserati. It was positioned as a grand tourer and introduced at the 1986 Los Angeles Auto Show. It is a "Q" body built on a modified second generation Chrysler K platform. After two years of development delays, the TC became available in late-1988 and a total of 7,300 units (the minimum required under the contract) were manufactured in MilanItaly through 1990. All cars sold as 1991 models were manufactured in 1990.

The TC's platform was based on a shortened Dodge Daytona chassis with suspension and axles from the original model The bodywork was produced by De Tomaso subsidiary Innocenti The struts and shock absorbers were specially designed for the car by Fichtel and Sachs, and a Teves anti-lock braking system was standard. The special wheels were made in Italy by the Formula One supplier Fondmetal.

Features:

The TC featured a detachable hard top with circular, beveled-glass opera windows with a six-point latching system and a manually operated cloth lined convertible top that was available in either tan or black. Available exterior colors were yellow, red, black and white. Interior choices were Ginger or Black leather.

The TC's dash, door panels, seats, armrest, and rear fascia panels were covered in hand-stitched Italian leather. Inside doorjambs were finished with stainless steel panels and sill plates. The convertible boot, over which the hardtop rests, is a body-colored metal panel. A special interior storage compartment came with an umbrella, tool kit, and small spare tire that allowed the use of the full-sized trunk even with the top down. Standard equipment included a 10-speaker Infinity AM/FM cassette stereo, power windows, 6-way power seats, power door and trunk locks, map lights, puddle lamps, cruise control, and tilt steering wheel.

The only extra cost option available for the TC was a CD player that was a plug-in attachment to the standard Infinity AM/FM cassette stereo.
