1980 Oldsmobile Toronado Brougham $6,480.00 SOLD
1980 Oldsmobile Toronado Brougham Coupe is finished in white over Deluxe Brougham red cloth upholstery. .Powered by a 5.7-liter V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transaxle driving the front wheels. Equipment includes a partial landau roof, chrome bumpers with overriders, 15″ with wire covers, an AM/FM stereo, an aftermarket carburetor, and power windows, locks, and mirrors. The Toronado is said to have spent much of its life in New Mexico as a single family owned car and was acquired by me in May 2022. This Toronado Custom Brougham is now offered with manufacturer’s literature and a clean California title in my name.
The car is finished in white with a matching partial landau roof and red pinstripes. Chrome trim adorns the bumpers, rocker panels, and mirror housings, and additional exterior details include a hood ornament, quad headlights, fender-mounted indicators, and a power-retractable antenna. Flaws include a tiny pinhole in the landau roof as well as a ding on the driver-side door and dents in the rear quarter panels.
Steel 15″ wheel wear wire covers and are mounted with 215/70 Regal Touring A/S tires. Stopping power is provided by optional four-wheel disc brakes. The four-wheel independent suspension features rear coil springs, and the front shocks are replacements.
The seats are upholstered in red button-tufted cloth with vinyl accents, while simulated Butterfly Walnut trim lines the door panels, dashboard, seats, and steering wheel. Appointments include a litter container, a mechanical in-dash clock, a push-button AM/FM radio, and power windows, locks, and mirrors. The air conditioning system recently serviced, the cruise control has been disabled, and the metal ashtray receptacle behind the front ashtray door is missing. The driver’s seat bottom is torn on the side (see detailed photos) and its power seat adjustment does not work.
Instrumentation includes a rectangular 85-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 1,117 miles and is said to have rolled over. I have driven the car about 250 miles. Total mileage is unknown but is more than likely 101,117 miles. The trip odometer reset stem is disconnected.
The 5.7-liter V8 is said to be equipped with an aftermarket carburetor and sends power to the front wheels via a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transaxle. Service in preparation for the sale reportedly included an oil change, changing the transmission fluid and filter, and replacing the air conditioning system and air pump belts. A/C Blows Cold!
Runs and drives extremely well! Draws lots of attention & THUMBS UP. I have driven it to several Car Events and it cruises right along on the Freeway! Very easy to park, small turning radius! A great car – I am out of storage space!
