1991 Honda Beat - Live on www.bringatrailer.com

1991 Honda Beat. JDM Import, right hand drive Kei Roadster. Mid engine 656cc 3 cylinder, 5 speed with only 25,967km --- 16,134 actual miles. Cruises Freeway Speeds with no problems and is a kick to drive in town or in the twisties. Car was imported to Seattle Washington in July 2020 and purchased by me from a dealer friend in Portland, Oregon

All original equipment including stereo with cassette play (does not get very many US stations) Original Zebra Stripe upholstery has been upgraded with leatherette bolsters on both seats. Top is excellent, new rear window just installed. A couple little accessories from Japan have been added to interior as well as a rear deck spoiler. Wheels are original factory “Phone Dial” upgrades 14” rear & 13” front with newer tires. AC does blow cold BTW.

Body is in excellent condition with all panel and door gaps correct, doors, hood and bonnet close easily with no rattles. The Gloss White paint is in very good condition overall and appears to be mostly original. Passenger door has 3-4 small dings that could probably be taken out by a Paintless Dent Removal Professional. There are a few very tiny chips in paint that would be consistent with a  car of this age.

Bucket seats are trimmed in grey vinyl and zebra-print upholstery complemented by gray carpets and floor mats. The bolsters on both seats have been reupholstered as the cloth tends to wear out quickly from entering & exiting the car. Amenities include power windows, an aftermarket cupholder, a custom shift knob, Scratches are noted on the interior plastics, there is no radio antenna, and the air conditioner does blow cold.

A stock original steering wheel frames triple gauges that came in mismatched colors from the factory and include a tachometer with an 8,500-rpm redline. The six-digit odometer shows 25,967 kilometers (16,134 miles). A spare tire and a jack reside in the front trunk.

The mid-mounted 656cc triple features PGM-FI fuel injection and MTREC throttle control and was factory-rated at 63 horsepower. Shifting is via a five-speed manual transaxle. Oil and fluid changes were performed in July 2020 along with a general inspection

The design of the Honda Beat was originally penned by Pininfarina who eventually sold the plans to Honda. It was said to be the last car that Soichiro Honda approved before his passing in August of 1991. Honda states the car was developed by their team of young designers all under the age of thirty, who intended the car to be marketed for a younger demographic.

The car will not pass California emissions testing, and the car’s personalized license plates are not included in the sale.

Available for Purchase with clean Oregon Title in my name. Car is not CALIFORNIA legal as it is not CARB compliant. Custom license Plates not included.
