This 1969 Mercedes-Benz 220D is powered by a 2.2-liter diesel inline-four paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The car was sold to its first owner by European Motors in San Francisco, California and was purchased by the selling dealer a month ago, reportedly from the second owner’s estate. This W115 is supplied with factory literature, shop manuals, a handwritten service booklet, and a copy of the original owners California title. Car will be sold with a clear clean Oregon title in my name.

The exterior is finished in Light Beige (181) and features small chrome bumpers as well as polished trim and window surrounds. Blemishes include fading paint on the top of the front left fender as well as nicks, dents and scrapes in the bodywork, beltline and rocker trim, and right rear wheel arch.

Steel wheels wear color-matched center caps and are mounted with Goodyear whitewall tires. Miner rust is noted in the driver-side rocker panel and in the trunk.

The interior is trimmed in Brown MB-Tex with a matching dashboard (no cracks) , center console, and carpets covered with tan mats. Tears are pictured in the driver’s seat bolster and rear seats, notably on the passenger seat bottom and across the top of the bench.

Instrumentation is described as operational with the exception of the clock. The 5-digit odometer shows just over 9k miles, a handful of which have been added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown. An aftermarket Nippon cassette radio occupies the center stack.

The 2.2-liter diesel inline-four was factory rated at 59 horsepower with 93 lb-ft of torque. The original service booklet was last stamped in 1978 at 79k miles, and there are no further service records accompanying the car.

Additonal photos of the drivetrain, floors, and suspension are included in the gallery.

This W115 is supplied with factory literature and a spare wheel mounted in the trunk.
